Book Review : Radical Prunings

I love the Valparaiso library. I get really carried away and I can't seem to edit my bi-weekly choosings. I've only been a member for about a month and I've taken about 50 books already!

The first book I chose was called Radical Prunings by Bonnie Thomas Abbot and I couldn't have been happier about it. It's written from the viewpoint of a Martha Stwart-like gardening advice columnist and the author really knows her stuff! It was very funny and none of the advice rankled me- as sometimes bad advice does- this woman knows her stuff!
I was alittle bummed about the name of the main character, Mertensia Corydalis- which is taken from 2 Latin plant names and for years I've been talking about my attempt at the great American novel were all the names are Latin plant names. But I don' think I'll let that stop me- if I ever get around to it.
Anyway- Bravo! I loved it!
