Anybody home?

It's May. For landscapers...Hell Month. Not that I'm complaining... A little over my skis perhaps, all I can do is drink lotsa coffee, listen to Lady Sovereign and try to keep her pace, and grind my teeth at night. Woo hoo! So I'm just a little quiet over here. You can tell how much time I have for blogging by how dark these photos are... it's dusky out there....

I'm saving up my ideas of things to blog about...

For now though, I want to show you my tiny Edamame seedling! I bought a package of seeds from Territorial Seeds. I want to grow things that I can't get from the farmer's market here in Valparaiso (it's qute good!) and things that are also expensive to buy.... Edamame! Despite what my Dad says, it's not just a regular soybean, it's special somehow, I'm sure of it... I have a row of them coming up on the south wall of my house. I stuck them in the ground too early, about 2 weeks ago but almost all of them have come up...

Yum!

I love to shell and eat them and add the hulls to my compost bin- they take forever to break down so I can't wait to see what the worms can do with them!
